Langford - Monster trucks 1 of 2

We borrowed the car, grabbed carrots and bananas, set google maps and 25 mins later we were facing a lengthy queue for tickets

Just as it started to take a long time a bloke came up and said "this is the visa line. ..there is a cash line down there"

5 mins later we were in. Walking past a lengthy pizza queue we made it three quarters of way up the solitary stand. Time 6.30pm. Sun still strong. Lovely view.

Interviewing drivers over the pa. Talking about last nights race they were delaying the start to get the big queue in. Eventually after 2 north american national anthems standing and flags being raised it was the first race.

2 of these sorts of races then they did figure of 8 races around two big tyres in the area in front of us. So the cars would cross over inthe middle. Some contact and nudging into tail spins.

Then racing different cars around outer track but doing a weaving shape within the lap. Sole aim is to make smoke as they went around. 

This finished with circles innfront of us. Air thick with rubber.

We had 6 earplugs between 4 of us so I reverted to old gig trick of chewed paper.  But then Rowan wouldnt wear his so I didnt need the paper and we just put our hands over his ears during the noisy bits.
