Update from Khao Lak

We are now in Khao Lak which is 90kms from Phuket. Looks like the rain has set in for a few weeks which is a shame. This is a typical little Thai town, overhead wires everywhere, rain (at the moment), lots of tailors and lots of taxi's! 

We had the air-con set too cold last night  and this is the scary monster I woke up to this morning..

Yikes! I hear you say! I said it too (and a few other things besides that!) 

This morning we had more rain but after a splashy walk through the torrents of mud, sand and stones we found a great little cafe and had a great lunch of carbonara for the children and red and green curries for us. Mmmm! Delicious! 

Esme absolutely loves her rain coat and wants to put it on at every available opportunity but Rowan is more reluctant and would rather get wet.. Just like his dad.. 

Rowan then had one of his five-a-day.. Pure, refined sugar cane.. (It was too good a photo opportunity to miss!).. 

And I had a little coconut milk..
