Seattle to Olympia

Rough packing up only as we have a car boot now to carry it all in. Breakfast. Hugged goodbyes to Sally and we were off to Olympia via a couple of shop stops.

It was our first experience of 7 lane wide freeways leaving Seattle. It was great to be exploring the great wide open, even if it was just going 60 miles south. Lanes seem narrower so some trucks were pretty big. Bigger than home. Kids slept as we arrived in Olympia before our next hosting experience with Leeann on her 5 acre hobby farm.

Using googlemaps talking to us like a satnat.... (ok Ann I know I said I would never depend on one) we got to town centre. Then using Tripadvisor we got to a free kids play area w water.

We spoke to two thin mums who as well as being interested in our trip, were upset that the patrolling security guard had accused them of having a non compliant ie non swimming pool nappy on their one year old daughter. They were  peturbed by this. The nappy had nemo on it so clearly was compliant.

Later a very heavy knock on my cubicle occurred. I didnt answer. After a long three seconds

"Anyone in there?"

'Yeah'

I got outside and there was the security guard waiting to make sure I had not been too long. He apologised for the heaviness of his knock. He looked like a generalised american policeman in his shortsleeve blue cotton shirt. Black leather belt. Young. Black leather shiny shoes. Tummy and general stance that said 'Dont mess with me' so maybe the nappy incident was a way to exercise his power

Then ten miles up a peninsular we got to Leeanns
