Olympia - saturday sale & museum

After a munch of Leeanns home made granola it was 25 mins to town for the Rei members sale. The 10am start meant a queue of about 100 metres. Its a sale of outward bound stuff like tents and boots that have been returned with minor faults or because the customer didnt like them.

Straight up the stairs and cardboard boxes full of footwear by size. Bit of a scramble. Go back 15 mins later and there is more that first grabbers have put back. Kids are running round the shoe test area

Told the bloke in the till queue about helpx.

When paying  "whats your membership number sir?"

We arent. So we join. The bag is too small for whats in it. The server says cheerfully

"Sorry about that. I didnt achieve my lower level  bag packing aims!"

Then off to the kids touch museum. More like a play area than a museum

Then 3pm start to see england lose to italy

  1. At least it was a more civilised time to watch football. It was on at 11pm here!! Snoozing time for me - I could tell England had scored by the massive shout from the lounge.

Saw Toby etc today in Chipping Campden - went to the church service to watch Craig get ordained in his new Parish. Great tea and cake selection.
