We have been knocked for six by the jetlag. I slept in till 1.30pm and heard a mini tractor
Outside and the finishing touches being added to a new gravel patch. We have been here for 4 nights and not done anything yet so am starting to feel a bit guilty.
Randy and Debbie are selling so its operation "tidy up to sell"
Last afternoon we were treated to a real immersion in family. Randy has 4 brothers Rod Don Cam and Terry in addition to himself. Their parents are 87 and 94. We drove 5 mins to Rods house wandered in and there was a room full of family sitting on chairs round the edge. So carrying Esme I immediately walked round and shook hands doing introductions. Sarah was just behind. People were incredibly friendly and interested.
They all wanted to know about the trip. They worked on pipelines, in wood mills, in museums, were home schoolers, carpenters, nurses, farmers, retired. Time went really fast. Rowan ate an olive sandwich. The food was pot luck bring your own. We left with more than we bought. I felt a warm glow inside and spent a few moments reflecting on how it wasnt splintered and also what I miss out on at home. Everyone got on (at least thats what they said)
House has geothermal heat in winter and cool in summer time. Coils sit under the planted area
