Yesterday 3 hours in a taxi, getting lost 5 times, Esme Rowan & sarah asleep in the back (our internal clocks are still out) and we finally arrive at little friendly farm to meet the host Arnon (it means brother of buddha - he used to be a monk and once lived in the forest for 2 years in a temple just him and a Guru/teacher).anyway during the trip when the driver was lost he would pull over to a nearby roadside table and chairs eatery and ask for directions...this was a que to pull down the windows and the kids to wave at and be waved back at by the thai people who were very smiley to see us.
when we arrived all the grass is long here and Esme immediately took a dislike to wet crocs on her feet. First signs were that they would not like it but by the end of the day they had elected to have a quick swim in a nearby tub of water that collects the non guttered water during the downpours (it is rainy season which keeps it cooler and less sunny :-) )
)
Ater dinner prepared by Piriam during which there was an unusual texture experience of a type of fish roe (see pic, it was a bit like half a sausage filled with eggs)
)We then tried to get them to sleep at 9pm and it wasn't happening so we read whilst the kids entertained themselves in the room - its amazing what a bouncy spiky rubber ball with a light in it can do in terms of entertainment. About midnight they went off
